The Academic Council is a collegial body for managing the scientific, technical and educational activities of the Academy, which performs advisory functions, as well as considers the main scientific and organizational issues in the Academy.

The Academic Council has the following questions:
definition of strategy of development and perspective directions of scientific, scientific-technical, innovative, educational and educational activity;
carrying out scientific and scientific-technical evaluation of the topic and results of research works;
approval of current and annual plans for scientific research, scientific and technical, experimental development;
ensuring the quality of scientific and educational processes, correctness and accuracy, validity of educational activities through the development of appropriate procedures for their achievement on the basis of systematic and integrated approaches;
evaluation of the results of research, design, testing and experimental works, educational and educational activities;
recommendations of research, innovation, educational and educational projects and programs for participation in competitions of all-Ukrainian, international and foreign organizations;
recommendations of scientists to participate in competitions for state, municipal targeted support, receiving international and foreign grants, participation in international and foreign programs, events;
creation of sections of the Academic Council of the Academy in the areas of research;
organization of competitions for scientific works and projects, educational and educational programs and events, establishment and awarding of nominal and Academy awards;
recommendations for approval of programs and plans for international and national scientific cooperation, conferences, symposia, meetings, etc .;
nomination of outstanding scientific works for awarding prizes, medals and other types of awards, including international ones;
election of honorary doctors, professors, scientists of the Academy.
